Description: Hijaab & seatbelts
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s amazing how many have double standards, they can justify something to be right in one place, but be contradictory to it in another place.
An example to this is how safety measures are enforced for the protection of lives & property in many western societies, which is a great thing, however, they protect & justify Gambling & alcohol, & nudity & usury etc (Its justified simply by saying: "Its our way of life), which are all considered to a way of life filled with dangers to individuals & societies, and great losses.
Wearing seatbelts is compulsory in many countries, and it is considered to be an offence that has heavy fines when you dont obey the laws, heavy marketing campaigns are held, and police are strong in enforcing it, and no objection is made by anyone towards it, matter of fact it’s something they get praised for, On the other hand we see heavy attacks on Hijaab in the same society, claiming its oppression, when it’s done solely for the betterment of society & individuals, just like seat belts are, what they say to justify the seat belts laws, can be used to justify the Hijab
If they say
Why should women wear the Hijab
Then we say
Why should drivers wear the seat belts
If they say
The seat belt protects drivers from injury during accidents
Then we say
The Hijab protects women from rape and harassment
If they say
If you think that the Hijab protects women from rape, then why are many Muslim women raped although they wear the Hijab
Then we say
If you think that the seat belt protects drivers from death, then why are many drivers killed in accidents although they wear the seat belt
If they say
Women should have the freedom to choose whether to wear the Hijab or not because it is a personal matter. They should not be forced to wear it
Then we say
Drivers should have the freedom to choose whether to wear the seat belt or not because it is a personal matter. They should not be forced to wear it
If they say
If you are truly concerned with women’s safety, you should punish the rapists and leave women alone
Then we say
If you are truly concerned with drivers’ safety, you should punish the crazy drivers who cause accidents and leave good drivers alone
If they say
Why don’t men wear the hjijab
Then we say
Why don’t bus passengers also wear the seat belt (BUS PASSENGERS do not wear the seat belt in Western countries and other countries)
If they say
Bus passengers do not wear the seat belts because the risk of death or injury in buses is much less than in cars
Then we say
Men do not wear the Hijab because the risk of rape or harassment to men is much less than women
If they say
Ok ! If you believe that the Hijab is important then it is up to you, but why do you force foreign women visiting Muslim countries to wear the Hijab
Then we say
Ok ! If you believe that the seat belt is important then it is up to you, but why do you force foreign drivers visiting your country to wear the seat belt
In conclusion to the above, we cannot claim something on one hand & contradict it on the other.
